Many of us suffer every day and continue to present to the world a false narrative about ourselves. We present ourselves as complete and unscathed by hardships, putting on a smile. As if it was wrong to not be okay. Here We are Acknowledging Our Lives It is important to know that the pain or aches in our lives are valid and normal. No matter the gravity of pain, or how long we have felt a certain way, we hurt ultimately because we are human. We may not ever forget about our hardships, but they should not disturb our ability to function. No days are right or wrong when we set time aside to take care of ourselves. How often do we experience anything of beauty on our own? This is such a powerful image as the woman could be taking a risk and doing something on her own. This could also be her escape, her isolation away from the world, in which her curiosity no longer is focused on the world but in the universe within the painting. When was the last time we took a risk? Recognizing what can and cannot be controlled can change how we perceive ourselves and our actions. The woman in the image, is she no longer interested in controlling the world or has she realized that the world had a much greater interest in controlling her? What did she risk?
